Day 11: Are You There Carbs? It’s Me, Carolyn

I was super on track most of today. I was psyched to enjoy a healthy chocolate shake for breakfast courtesy of Phase II of the 24 Day Challenge. I ate a few small, healthy meals throughout the workday and even got in a short walk midday. After work I joined my family and my dear friend Dani for dinner and was on less than my best food behavior.

It all started with an innocent 1-3 glass(es) of champagne (oh how many stories I could start with that line). There were plenty of healthy food choices tonight (salmon, brussel sprouts, okra, and collard greens) and a few less safe options (meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and ciabatta bread).

I chose all of the above.

I don’t really wanna talk about it because I’m sleepy and am on the verge of a food coma.

My bad!

Love your title to this blog post! Okay, so you’re not perfect! Neither am I or anyone else for that matter. But you are going strong in the right direction. And that’s great!!!!

Please don’t let this one meal discourage you. It’s only one meal. And since you have stuck to the challenge you have eaten at least 33 meals. That one unhealthy meal is only 3% of your meals so far in your cleanse.
You have encouraged me to realize my unhealthy relationship with food. You are inspiring, brave, and couagious. Not to mention an awesome writer and extremely funny. I can actually hear your voice in my head when reading your blog. Thanks for being brave enough for all of us.
